Katalin Ladik (born 1942 in Novi Sad) is a pioneer in experimental poetry, sound and performance art.
Ladik places language at the heart of her practice. Since the 1960s, she has used her body and voice as both medium and material.
The first part of the exhibition presents Ladik’s work on language through her “visual poems.” She creates collages that she performs like music scores, drawing on her extraordinary vocal range.
Here, you can experience Ladik’s poetry through nine works featured in the exhibition.
