In this interview recorded during the installation of “The Classroom”, artist Karol Radziszewski explains how the work grew out of his long-term research into queer histories from Central and Eastern Europe.
The artist speaks about the Queer Archives Institute, DIK Fagazine (his magazine of twenty years), and how personal encounters, oral histories, photographs, zines and publications are brought together in his artistic practice.
Radziszewski also discusses how the classroom is activated through history lessons and the opening-night performance with his “Fag Fighters”.
